Email ends up in promotions box. Weird template. Recruiter asks for updated cv. For some reason they had my cv from 2016 on file. I sent them my 2022 version, and then got ghosted. Multiple emails. Horrible agency. Avoid!!!

Like others on this site, I was a recipient of Mr. G******'s style.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Mr. G****** contacted me about a recent opening he was recruiting for. It would have been an excellent fit for me. He set up a phone screen with me the following morning. The conversation started with him asking me why I'm looking for a position. I began to relate to him the reasons why, only in general terms as he had indicated this should take only 10 to 15 minutes. After a couple of minutes he jumped in and said "STOP I asked you to tell me why you're looking for a new position!" Then he stammered and huffed in apparent exasperation and shouted, "I can't put you in front of my client! He needs someone concise! You're not concise! He would chew you up and spit you out!" It was then I thanked him for his time and hung up the phone. I've been in operations management for 26 years, and I've been quite successful. When I was contacted by the Mr. G******, from the Judge Group, I did my research and discovered he is considered some type of god when it comes to recruiting. At least that's the version of him The Judge Group, and Mr. G****** himself, would like you to believe. In reality, he is an arrogant, condescending, caustic individual and in my wildest imagination I cannot understand how anyone could stand working with him. There are much better recruiters out there. Stay away from this guy.

Questioning legal status of workers based on accent.

Guest

I was just contacted this morning by the Judge Group. I've never heard of these people or this company, Indians from India or middle eastern in our country.

Are they even legally here?

Anyway, Thank you for your comment. I won't be putting forth an effort to contact them.

I wish I hadn't made the effort. Liars, incompetent, know very little English and will change your Resume without your knowledge or consent. Then never reply to emails or call.

Guest

I also spoke to Michael Glinter. Very arrogant, very rude and condescending.

I doubt he has any idea what he’s doing, doubt his clients have success working with him. If they do, it’s luck.

Lauren, slam dunks paper into jobs. It's the first who applies not the best. Have to get your resume to them in one day of the job posting or lose out. Send VP-HR letter stating they're sabotaging good peoples careers.

Poor Recruiter Follow-up

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Have had the Judge Group reach out to me on a few occasions and in each case, the recruiter didn't reply back to inquiries to outreach that they initiated. You provide them with the courtesy to even respond to their note and they in turn don;t reply back after a few attempts to reach them. Maybe it's a part of their culture or just lazy recruiting, but many within my network experience the same poor practices and avoid them and will also not use Judge as an IT sourcer for their companies.

I have had the same experience. With Michael and others at Judge Group.

It can be summed as it's all on their terms or don't call us, we'll call you. They forget that they are providing a service to you as well as their employer clients.

Lack of Professionalism

I received several emails and contacted by Michael G******, VP of the Judge Group. He found my old resume on Monster and contacted me in regards to several positions he believed I would be a good fit for. I reviewed several inquiries he sent me; however, one position stood out. I was interested in discussing such position and he requested that I send an updated resume. I sent him my updated resume and he responded stating "you didnt write your job duties" and "we are not interested in hiring someone that copies and paste a job description off monster". I was not only insulted but obviously the VP did not take the time to read or review my resume. If he did review it he would have recognized that I had a heading/section that I added in which I documented my personal achievements that impacted companies I worked for. He also failed to realize that he in fact found my resume on Monster and that I did take advantage of the tools Monster offers which helps with resume writing and tips on verbiage that should be used. More importantly, this is supposed to be a " VP" for a recruiting agency. The lack of professionalism from the "VP" is what discouraged me from working with the Judge Group which encouraged me to write this complaint.

Michael G****** is a Joke... avoid at all costs

I was approached about a position that I was well qualified for via email. I replied to the email and was contacted by someone covering for him while he was “away”. She set up my interview that went well. I reached out to him for 2 weeks and received no follow up at all... not even a courtesy phone call. I emailed him to let him know I would follow up directly to person I interviewed with and got an immediate response... AN AGGRESSIVE AND UNPROFESSIONAL RESPONSE!!! He proceeded to immediately call the company I interviewed with and killed any chance I had. This man is a joke... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Awful.

Run. Fast. Had I read the comments posted from other career candidates I would have not considered ever working for this group. Left full time nursing job after The Judge Group approached me. Promise you job leads that never are even a possibility. When I called my recruiter back for follow up on my recent interview with a local company he no longer works there. Who’d know? The group seems very busy and overwhelmed. Couldn’t even get my first name right on emails sent to me. Also, the wages are not even in the ballpark, so beware. Sad that I wasted my valuable time and blemished my resume.

Unethical Recruiters

Please stay away from this company. This is one of the many employment agencies that hires Indian phone banks that have no idea what they are recruiting for. Also, my mother-in-law is from India and still has her accent, but her English is far more articulate than any of these people! Anyway, I recently had a recruiter contact me about a position. I have been out of work for 7 months due to a sudden health issue in September 2018, but I have been ready to go back for quite some time. The recruiter asked me to change the end date of my last position to fill in some of the time between now and then. I told him "absolutely not", and he questioned whether or not I wanted the job. I hung up on him. How disgusting. Completely unethical! I also reported their firm to the company hiring for the position.

I received a cold call and asked to submit my resume by the end of the day. I decided this was not something I wanted pursue. I received a text saying I had not met the deadline of sending my resume. I text back "Not interested at this time". Text from recruiter was ""You should have said that from the beginning". I contacted The Judge Group regarding the text ad was transferred to customer service. I gave them the information and was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism. I did request to not be contacted again. They were apologetic and abided by my request.

Ghosting

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been contacted by a VP from the Judge Group twice over the last 6 months. Very urgent need for me to send them an updated resume for a current open position. Went out of my way to not only send them an updated resume, but a very carefully crafted cover letter pertinent to the position. Then, both times -- nothing. Crickets! I tried several times to contact them. If I wasn't what they were looking for, they could have at least sent an acknowledgement of receiving my resume! If they ever contact me again, I'm not even opening the e-mail. I do not do business with people who do not even know basic business etiquette!

I'm embarrassed for people looking for jobs thru the Judge Group

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I advised the Sr VP of the Judge Group of an unexpected personal conflict the day before my interview so that I could maybe reschedule for the following week. The Sr VP threw a fit and said he would tell the hiring manager I didn't have time to interview with the company, which is NOT what I said. The Sr VP then proceeded to calling me vulgar and degrading names. I understand the inconvenience I caused but that didn't call for his negative condescending reaction towards me. I gave him options but he didn't want to hear them he had no flexibility. He showed no respect and was totally unprofessional. In the end, he hung up on me after calling me a *** moron"! Who calls a person applying for a job a *** moron", the SR VP of the Judge Group does!

Worst Headhunter firm to date

I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in regards to this interviewing incident.

Updated by user May 11, 2018

I was able to notify McKesson of the interview incident and it was forwarded to their HR/Contact group. Otherwise nothing else to report and was hoping that PissedCustomer would help in some manner other than sending auto generated emails requesting more posts.

Original review Apr 11, 2018
I was scheduled for an interview in my area for McKesson by phone on a Saturday. It seemed a little odd so I confirmed with the recruiter a couple of days before.

That Saturday I waited for 20 minutes with no phone call so then contacted Chris Atkins and then was told that it was in person. So I contacted the person from the company and was able to reschedule that day and found that the company name was also incorrect, not McKesson but called Good Health.

in spite of the mix up the interview appeared to go well. However the following Tuesday I got a message from Judge that I was not hired because I did not have "my act together."

Very Unprofessional

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Within one minute of my phone screening for a position I was well qualified for, a "top" recruiter asked for my current salary. When I declined to answer the question and asked what the salary range was for the position I was interviewing for, the "top" recruiter quickly told me that "I'm not playing games...this is not going to work out." then hung up on me. When I called the "top" recruiter back to voice my opinion of the situation, the "top" recruiter treated me like trash, like a disposable piece of trash. The tone and unprofessionalism was nothing like I'd ever seen before. Please do your research if you decided to have this company represent you. I wouldn't have them represent me, even if that meant I'd go jobless. I would not want to be associated with this company. Period.

Poor candidate experience

I was cold called about a job receiving a voice mail. It sounded interesting - but before sending a resume I wanted to see a job description and know more about the role. I returned the call within an hour. I responded to a follow up email asking for a call. I was told to "just send a resume" even though it was outdated in response to a request to talk 5 min. I sent the resume, waited 2 days and no response. I called someone I know in another division who gave me the phone number of the account manager on the position. Sent an email expressing interest in the position (it sounded very enticing) and still no response. Made another followup call 4 days later (6 days from initial contact) and still no response. They lost my trust and really not interested in working with them. Advice to management - just tell the truth that the job is filled or whatever is holding up the process. Don't waste time cold calling candidates and then drop the ball. Bad business practice.
